Dr. Abernathy and students discussed and clarified several issues during this conference. There were five main subjects and one little aside from a student regarding gumbo recipes and roux. There was a discussion regarding this blog posting and where it should be posted. The result was that the summary was to be posted on your blog and then link placed at the end of the week 5 assignment. Concerns regarding the TK20 software were also addressed. It was stressed that it is easy to get behind in if one does not stay current with the course imbedded hours. The LCE test was discussed and questions regarding the specifics on taking the test were addressed. In this week’s announcements, there was a statement that asked the students to update their courseware to see the correct assignment that was posted. There was much confusion over the gear tool in the program. It was determined that the gear did not appear in the Internet version of EPIC. The last topic that was discussed was a mentor for students where they could ask all of the course questions and graduation requirement questions. Many students responded that they have never been contacted about a mentor program and do not have a mentor at this time. The web conference cleared up several important questions and brought clarity to all five topics that were addressed.
